Services We Offer
Youth 'N Action provides a variety of services which all fit into the following four areas:
- Youth Voice/Advocacy
- Youth Support
- Education Around Government Services
- Mental Wellness
Youth Group:
This group meets on the second Saturday of every month at the Loft, usually from 5-7p.m. and at other times as scheduled. All youth, 14-21, interested in advocacy, leadership, and bettering their communities are invited to attend. Meetings always include food and fun, but can also include leadership trainings, personal growth exercises, discussions, guest speakers, planning for future projects, and team building opportunities.
YNA, in partnership with Passages Family Support, also operates a youth support group called Youth CHAT (Conversations About Health, Associations, & Trust) which meets on the second and fourth Fridays of every month. This group is by invitation. Contact us for more information.
Resource Referral:
Youth 'N Action staff work hard to stay up to date on resources and programs available in communities across Washington state. If you’re looking for a resource or service, feel free to give us a call. If we don't know the answer, odds are we’ll know someone who does.
Technical Assistance:
Youth 'N Action is a fun and beneficial program that's empowering youth to change their world! We’d love to see similar programs become established across the U.S. to serve and assist even more at-risk youth. If you’re interested in starting a similar program feel free to contact us, and we can share the struggles, joys, successes, and more that we found when starting our program.
Youth Voice!:
Youth ‘N Action works hard to make youth voice heard in public policy! If you've been involved in a government system - mental health, social services, juvenile justice, education, etc., we want to hear your story, feedback, and perspective. Youth 'N Action works with various government agencies to provide beneficial feedback on their programs and services to work towards effecting positive changes that benefit youth. One of the ways we do this is through the Washington Youth Council.
Training:
Youth 'N Action provides a variety of educational trainings to our youth which have included but are not limited to: public speaking, system navigation, media training, legislative training, meeting etiquette, and more! Youth 'N Action also trains youth to speak to adult groups and provide youth perspective. Contact us to set up a discussion panel (donations welcome).
